Artist Statement

Architecture is all around us, all the time. It is the skeleton of the homes we live in, the places we work, and everything else in between. With this portfolio, I invite viewers to see the architectural foundations of our society in a new light, revealing the art hiding in plain sight above all of our heads. I aim to achieve this by isolating the geometries of structures and abstracting them, transforming what architecture is into what it truly looks like: not a destination, but pure form, light, and pattern. We move through the built world daily without looking up at these buildings that surround us. I believe that it is important to look back and see the beauty of the structures that hold us together.
